Expo 17 Blog
Check out an interesting article about the rise and fall of the city's futuristic infrastructures, as well as a poignant profile of "the mother of Expo 67".

Thank you for posting about Expo 17's blog. I suppor the idea for Expo 17 so very strongly and appreciate Expo Lounge's support for the idea too. Having experienced Expo 67 as an 11 year old 3 times, the idea of having another Expo in Montreal seems just so incredible - I am absolutely confident Expo 17 would be truly wonderful for the city and would show the world, once again, what your great city if capable of. Good luck and many thanks to all the people supporting the Expo 17 concept :) !
Hi again Jason, hope you are enjoying the heat this weekend LOL!
Well about this Expo 17 blog again ... I tried posting some supportive and hopefully insightful comments there, and some friends and my sister tried too, .. but as you can see, zero comments posted on their blog weeks later (english and french). I wonder if the blog is actually up and running or maybe they are understaffed ... or asleep LOL ? (or maybe our comments were really lousy hee hee )
Oh, back in early May I emailed Montreal Mayor Tremblay's office to suggest the city host Expo17 and they finally emailed back saying: ...
"Thank you for your e-mail of May 5, 2008 addressed to Mayor Gérald Tremblay, in which you propose to host the Expo 2017 in Montréal.
We have made note of your comments and suggestions. However, the municipal government does not deem the event to be a priority. Moreover, the organization of such an event demands careful reflection and the undisputed support of all Montrealers.
Sincerely yours,
Richard Thériault
Director of Administration and Communications"
Perhaps a great idea might be for all Montrealers who think hosting Expo 17 is totally fab to let the city know it has the "undisputed support of all Montrealers" :) I think I remember my partents telling me the city administration was not too keen on hosting Expo 67 at first too, but that sure changed, eh?
I hope the Expo 17 proposal all works out as I am sure Montreal is the best city to host another Expo and do another fantastic job as well as gain so many benefits from the experience just as it did in 1967 :D !!! Bye for now
Where is the interchange depicted in the second photo? Let's catch up soon.
