I'd like to know more about that pyramid-shaped ride at La Ronde. Do you know what exactly happened inside?
I'll write a blog post on the subject very shortly...
The Gyrotron was supposed to be the highlight of La Ronde, but I think it proved to be somewhat disappointing. There's a great description of a ride through it in Michel Tremblay's novel Le Cahier rouge. I was wondering how long it remained standing after Expo...
It was removed in the mid 1980's to make way for the "Monstre" roller coaster...
Was it functional until its demolition, or was it closed for several years before it was dismantled?
