Plan59.com

I love 1950's ads.

Anyone that loves the 50's as much as I do should visit Plan59.com.

There are hundreds of images, many of which can be purchased as prints.

There's an extensive gallery of automobile images that makes me drool!

Oh, how I'd love to ride around in a mint green '58 Chevy!

Wow... what a blast from the past. My first car I bought in about 1969-1970 was a 1959 Buick, I paid $99.00 as is. It lasted many years. hahaha

Those cars were built like tanks. You would hear a heavy clunk when you closed the doors.

The floating staircase photo is the lobby of GM's Design building at the Tech Center in Centerline, Michigan. I think that the reflecting pool shot is right outside, but I'm pretty sure that the sculpture is gone now. These building were done in 1955, 1956 and comprise a full square mile near Warren/Detroit. The lobby of Design looks almost exactly the same....
