I recall seeing footage of Jean Drapeau standing up in the audience of the Ed Sullivan Theatre; I guess he was there to promote Expo.
Ed Sullivan was very keen on Expo 67. He played a pivotal role in convincing American tourists to come to Montreal in 1967.
The footage you are referring to was before Expo, when Jean Drapeau attended a taping of the Ed Sullivan show in New York...
